Background: – The objective of the study was to compare the self-efficacy and ego strength among boys and girls of handball. Method: The sample consisted of 100 handball players i.e. 50 boys and 50 girls and aged range from 16 to 25 years drawn randomly from Tri-city (Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula).Statistical Technique- The t- test was applied for the purpose of statistical interpretation to test the significance of difference between the two means. The application of self – efficacy and ego strength among handball players can help in setting and achieving more realistic targets for enhancing performance. Results- One plausible explanation boys are found to have higher degree on Self-efficacy as compared to girls are found to have higher degree of ego strength as compared to boys.
