Abstract
The study investigated the impact of Speed, Agility, and Quickness (SAQ) training and meditation training on reaction
time in college-level students. 60 Male Students aged 18-21 from various pre-university and undergraduate colleges in and
around Anavatti town, Soraba Talluk, Shimogga District, Karnataka, India, were randomly assigned to four groups: SAQ training,
meditation training, combined SAQ and meditation training, and a control group. Reaction time was assessed through the Ball
Reaction Exercises Test. The experimental groups engaged in specific training for eight weeks, with sessions held three days per
week. Data were collected and analyzed using ANCOVA, with Scheffe’s post hoc test applied to identify significant differences. A
significance level of 0.05 was established. The results showed a significant difference between all experimental groups, with the
combined SAQ and meditation training group having a greater impact on reaction time performance compared to the SAQ
training, meditation training, and control groups.
Key words: SAQ Training, Meditation Training, Reaction Time.
