Conept of Kundalini in Yogic Studies

Abstract
In Sanskrit `Kundal’ means ‘coiled up’. Kundalini is referred as an energy lying dormant at the base of the spine ina coiled form. According to yoga system Kundalini lies curled up in the rear section of muladhara chakra in 3 and one half spins across the sacrum. Kundalini can be assumed as a great reservoir of energy at the base of the spinal coloumn.Till 1969, this Kundalini yoga was kept secret. It was Yogi Bhajan who started teaching it publicly in western world .It was essential to prepare the mankind for upcoming transitions .The historic Kundalini yoga methods give the essence for bringing such transition. In this article the author tries to describe different concept of Kundalini energy.
