Psychological Characteristics of Interuniversity Female Badminton Players of Different Zone

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to construct the psychological Characteristics of Interuniversity Female Badminton Players of Different Zone. For this study research scholar had selected a sample of N=100 female university badminton players from different five zones. The mean age of selected subjects was 22.12±1.26 years. Further, Researcher had divided the total female badminton players into five selected zone i.e. west zone WZ (n=20), east zone EZ (n=20), north
zone NZ (n=20), south zone SZ (n=20) & central zone CZ (n=20). The selected psychological variables for the study were Incentive Motivation (consisting of seven systems viz, Excellence, Power, Sensation, Independence, Success, Aggression
and Affiliation), Achievement Motivation, State Anxiety, trait anxiety & Competitive State Anxiety (Cognitive State anxiety, Somatic State Anxiety, Self Confidence). The descriptive statistical revealed that state anxiety of WZ badminton players was 19.60±5.275, NZ (16.25±3.688), SZ (18.15±4.738), EZ (17.95±4.559) & CZ (18.10±3.22). Trait Anxiety of badminton players WZ (17.70 ±3.450), NZ (13.40±2.370), SZ (16.25 ±4.540), EZ (18.35 ±4.556) & CZ (17.05 ±3.332).
Cognitive State Anxiety of badminton players West (18.55±2.038), North (22.15±2.661), South (19.20 ±2.142), East (22.65 ±1.460), Central (21.65±2.183), Somatic State Anxiety, WZ (18.40±1.142), NZ (19.20±3.019), SZ (17.05 ±1.503), EZ (22.00 ±.7254) & CZ (22.15 ±2.007). Self- Confidence, WZ (26.40±1.759), NZ (28.95±2.350), SZ (27.50 ±1.933), EZ (28.20 ±.1.281) & CZ (28.90 ±1.682). Incentive Motivation, WZ (193.90±12.20), NZ (193.65±9.28), SZ (192.95 ±12.96), EZ (190.90±.12.38), CZ (196.00 ±10.69). Excellence, WZ (29.90±3.226), NZ (29.35±2.033), SZ (27.40 ±3.454), EZ (30.00 ±.2.533), CZ (29.60±3.330). Power, WZ (28.85±3.376), NZ (27.10±1.552), SZ (27.40 ±3,346), EZ (26.65±.2.641), CZ (28.25±2.403). Sensation, WZ (26.05±2.665), NZ (29.00±3.276), SZ (29.85±3.990), EZ (27.40±.4.210), CZ (29.05±2.645). Independence, WZ (29.35±4.704), NZ (26.80±3.270), SZ (27.45±3.332), EZ (26.65±.3.558), CZ (28.25±3.823).
