Abstract
It is very important for any human enterprise, more so in case of sports and games, where there is not only kaleidoscopic play of emotions but also name, fame, money and much more at Stake. The players or athletes that a coach teaches or leads have a wide variety of different personalities and characteristics. It can be revealed from the data that N.Ligappa was very attentive in his class and studious in his studies and as a student the data that N.Lingappa was very attentive in his class and studious in his studies and as a student in school / colleges he mingles easily with his classmates. The study is based on primary data. Representing S.L.N. high school for a few years he won a gold medal in Javelin Throw event in the Youth Festival competitions organized by D.P.I. and again he participated in the Mysore Olympic Games Competitions and secured a bronze medal in 5000 meters walk race. Sri. N. Lingappa for the first time in his career participated in 10000 meters Walk race in Madras with M C Parappa, Principal of Physical Education College, Bangalore University, he was N. Lingappa classmate and bench mate went with N. Lingappa. He also played Football for the Dharmaraja Union Football Club as well as Bangalore Society for some time in local tournament. From 1952 he was transferred to Government Intermediate College Bangalore there his regular training continued with the permission of the Principal. Then Mysore Olympic Games committee handed over to MAAA formed by sports lovers.
