Abstract
In the present study, two objectives were formulated: First objective was to characterize Handball and Kabaddi players by their selected coordinative abilities. Second objective was to compare selected coordinative abilities between Handball and Kabaddi players. Total one hundred and ninety players were selected in this study out of which seventy were Handball players and one hundred and twenty were Kabaddi players. The age of subjects was ranging from 18 to 25 years. Selected five coordinative abilities were Orientation Ability, Differentiation Ability, Reaction Ability, Balance Ability and Rhythmic Ability. To characterize Handball and Kabaddi players by their selected coordinative abilities, descriptive statistics were used. To compare selected coordinative abilities between Handball and Kabaddi players, independent t- test was used at .05 level of significance. Result showed that in Orientation Ability (t=6.82, p<.05), Reaction Ability (t=8.62, p<.05) and Balance Ability (t=16.01, p<.05), significant difference was found. On the other hand, insignificant difference was found in Differentiation Ability (t=.82, p>.05) and Rhythmic Ability (t=.56, p>.05).
