Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of vertical jump height on spike accuracy in volleyball players. Spike
accuracy is a critical skill for scoring points in volleyball, and jump height may influence the effectiveness of a spike. Fifteen
collegiate volleyball players participated in the study. Vertical jump height was measured using the chalk-wall method, and
spike accuracy was recorded over 15 spike attempts per player. Data analysis revealed a positive correlation (r = 0.72) between
vertical jump height and spike accuracy, suggesting that players with higher jumps are more likely to execute successful spikes.
This study highlights the importance of vertical jump training in improving offensive performance in volleyball.
