Abstract
This study examines awareness, gaming time, and career perception related to E-sports among urban and rural students
in India. Using chi-square, t-test, and correlation analyses, the study identifies significant differences in awareness and gaming
engagement between urban and rural populations. Urban students demonstrated higher awareness of E-sports and reported
greater gaming time compared to their rural counterparts. However, the correlation between gaming time and perception of E-
sports as a career was not statistically significant. The findings highlight socio-cultural and infrastructural differences shaping E-
sports participation, while also underscoring the need for further exploration of career perceptions among students.
